POLENSTRICH tells the story of Damian, a young Polish man who can’t gain a foothold in Germany. He lives with his pill‑addicted mother and barely makes ends meet through illegal odd jobs. An employer would like to help him, but his hands seem tied as well. The two men are apparently united by their dependence on an authoritarian father figure.
